Default Paragons and certain aspects of PvP

It is true that paragons are awsome in 8 man teams, especially in HA and GvG but they seem to lack the ability of being even close to feasable when it comes to certain pvp styles eg. Alliance battles, Team Arenas, Random Arenas, as well as Hero battles.

The paragon energy management ability is reduced to nothing, always gaining less energy than spent and even though they have skills such as "Go For The Eyes!", they are not good enough to seem effective.

My arguement is the following:

Every prifession has a primary ability that gives it some sort of edge during any of these battles while paragons, with the leadership ability, simply do not cut it, in my opinion.

My request is the following:

Can't Anet think of some sort of method to give paragons their effectivity back in these situation eg. SoR BoR AoR etc... are 10 energy worth to cast and have ridiculous recharge times. i know it may seem like a lot to ask since paragons are both offensive and defensive during any given match but rendering a skill almost useless, and might I add a very well constructed skill like SoR.

Another solution that i offer is that similar to the work being done on Ursan Blessing where the skill is made to be more tactical. This would greatly reduce the name that has been given to paragons as a noob class that only requires the spamming of skills in order and ANET would have moved a step closer to revolutionizing as well as restoring the Guild Wars name as it being a game based on the persons skill rather than the items used.

This is just a skeleton of a thought that I decided to run by you. Feel free to eaborate and add and/or crucify me for thinking of such a thing.

GFTE = 4 Energy every 10 seconds, thats about the same +1.5 regen. Also they gain energy for the shouts they use: SoR now costs 6 because of the 4 back from leadership. Just because you cant use the same e-intensive skills that 8v8 paras use doesnt mean they suck. They are still good in 4v4 settings, hell they are great in AB because some skills effect allies, not just party members.
However, they do fail in HB, not because they suck but because HB is such a failed format or capping & splitting, a situation where a paragon is guaranteed to fail.

On the other hand, i do have to agree with you about the fact that paras are pretty much spam on recharge to win. This is a flawed aspect of the class that imo cannot be fixed.

QFT, paragons are severely limited in Hb because most of the time you have 3 or less party member near you, because one should be capping, theoretically.

Paragons aren't suited for splits in certain places. Face it.

Paragons ar workable in AB though.

im sorry but you are talkign as if imbagon is the only build for a para.

in my opinion imbagon should be nerfed up cos it seems that ppl are losing their ability to pve decently.

and secondly.... dont go off topic keep to paras and pvp... read the damn thread title... sheesh

look guys... i know this might be a bit hard for some of you but read the dev updates once in a while...

they are currently working on ursan being made to be used in a more tactical and skillfull way rather than just spamming...

why not apply it to the paragon class to or that matter then...

lets not let them remain "beoked" or whatever you ppl call them

You're acually suggesting the class be nerfed by making it more self-sufficient?

The thing is....

You have to screw with the Paragon class so much because they're so broken.

With Ursan and the other blessings, you can do anything with them because they are just one skill. Changing one skill is far different from changing an entire class, so with bad design, the Paragon should just die.

Paragon is a support class, it don´t should be auto-sufficient IMO.

I agree with this handless guy. The Paragon is a support class, ergo, it should rely on others for its success.

The problem is that Anet focused a lot on that support role. For making them appealing, they buffed all of their crap, making them an overpowered Shout N Chant Spamming Machine. So, that is why giving them their efectiveness back is not a good option.

So, Anet has 2 options:

1- Nerf / Buff the Chants for making them ``tactical´´
2- Wipe the class for PvP.

PD: Spiuk gay.

Add IAS to leadership which makes chants/anthems/echos cast/last longer.

I actually think they're doing it in the next update, right before they revert Soul Reaping to it's original function, double SY!'s duration, remove the energy loss from Prot Bond, and give mesmers Spontaneous Combustion.

(I almost said revert Spirit Bond to before it had it's hit counter, but they've almost already done that (by resetting the counter when it's reapplied) haven't they?)
